We were formed in 1976, when a retailer decided to build his own switching system. He contacted a friend, and together, they designed and built a switching system in the service department. He also realised that better quality loudspeakers were more difficult to sell because they were generally less efficient than lower priced speakers and therefore played at a lower volume when switched using the same amplifier and source. They designed an efficiency compensation circuit that allowed two pairs of speakers with different efficiency ratings to play at the same relative volume level when switched using the same source and amplifier. Our company focus began to expand into the home audio and video accessory market.
