We are the result of one young mothers concerns about the way her daughter was learning – or rather, failing to learn – about her own heritage, and the way in which that heritage shapes the world we live in today. The dolls, and their costumes, conform to all relevant health and safety legislation, and the books are carefully researched and accurately written interpretations of what might have happened to children in the eras they cover.
