The business was founded in 1876. It occupied premises in Vauxhall Walk, London and employed 19 people with an annual turnover of £6,000. Through the reign of Queen Victoria into the 20th Century and through two world wars, we have continued to grow and prosper. From the iron bedsteads of the Victorian era to the first divan beds, we were at the forefront of bed design and technology.

Now we employ 600 people and occupying 300,000 sqft on a 13 acre plot.
