I studied at Cumbria College of Art & Design from 1989-1991 going on to Leeds Metropolitan University in 1992. I graduated in 1995 with first class BA Honours in Fine Art, specialising in sculpture. In the same year I was awarded runner up in the Royal Society of British Sculptors Student Award. I found I could transform a very modest gift into something special with a bit of time spent on the way it was presented and packaged. I used a variety of materials including wood, metal, paper and string to create items that became valued keep sakes.
