The company was established over forty years ago when John Ayrey and his father opened their first model shop. From the earliest days they imported models into the UK from Germany, including Eheim trolleybuses and Seuthe smoke systems amongst others. The retail chain was sold in the late 1970s and the company focused on the import and wholesale distribution of die- cast models.
