Woven in Italy. The Galleon Guardi is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry. The artwork comes from a mid 18th century painting of Venice by Francesco Guardi (1712 – 1793). Guardi was a Venetian veduta painter of the Venetian School. He is considered to be among the last practitioners, along with his brothers, of the classic Venetian school of painting.
