When set in a dark environment, the high contrast ratio makes for a rich looking dark scene, where blacks look very deep and decently uniform. When set in a brighter setting, the SDR peak brightness could be better, but the fact that the Q8C can deal with reflection superbly makes up for it and still makes it watchable, even if a bright lamp or a sunny window is in the proximity.
