We have been continuously active in the field of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) fabrication and coatings and the development of advanced materials since its inception in 1970, and has extensive experience with refractory metals, ceramics and composites. Originally founded to provide for the custom high temperature materials needs of the nuclear, chemical, and R&D industries, we have undergone a tremendous expansion over the past decade to mature into a top-quality research and development organization. We have expanded our highly trained research staff to a total of 15 scientists covering the fields of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, materials science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, ceramic engineering, and mechanical engineering, more than half of whom have advanced degrees. Our experimental facilities include 35 active, staffed CVD units complete with vacuum systems, temperature and gas flow controllers, and safety and pollution control equipment. Other analytical capabilities include thermodynamic and process modeling and finite element thermomechanical analysis. With over 20 years experience fabricating over 200 different refractory metals, ceramics, and alloys, we have sucessfully solved many of the most demanding material challenges of todays designers, and is actively seeking solutions to tomorrows materials and production challenges.
