In 2001, we celebrated 25 years as the producer of the worlds leading dust-free bagged forage. It all began back in 1976 when a chance remark was made by a vet to the owner, a farmer who at the time was cultivating potatoes. Why cannot someone make a forage especially for horses, instead of feeding something meant for cattle? The idea germinated in his mind. He remembered when hay was made in a rick and before feeding to horses the outside was cut off to reveal sweet smelling hay inside. The reason for the good quality was because the grass fermented slightly inside the rick, and the dry matter level was correct.
